Available Positions

Journeyman Electricians

Responsibilities include:

Experience with residential electrical systems required
Knowledge and experience in commercial or municipal electrical systems helpful
Experience working with hand tools, power tool, and electronic test equipment
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
Repair, inspect and test various electrical power systems, equipment and components
Schedule tests, inspections and preventative maintenance
Verify all work to meet NEC codes, state codes and city codes as applicable
Take care of and maintain all Action Electric equipment tools and vehicles
Manage projects and communicate results to the supervisor/project manager
Plan ahead for the next day’s work and communicates the expectations with employees, inspectors, owners and customers
Must be able to work with others, learn on the job and help the team meet project deadlines
Demonstrate safe work habits and comply with safety requirements
Perform other necessary tasks required to ensure successful operation of electric systems
Maintains a level of professionalism and positive demeanor

ACCOUNTING CLERK / RECEPTIONIST

Action Electric is a growing Electrical Contractor in Sioux Falls. We are looking for an ACCOUNTING CLERK / RECEPTIONIST with a positive attitude, solid computer skills, attention to detail, willingness to be flexible, and an eagerness to learn. Must be willing to make and answer calls to effectively communicate with vendors and customers.

This position will be responsible for administering day to day activities that include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Accounts Payable entry

· Matching packing slips to invoices

· Accounts Receivable invoice entry

· Service call / job setup

· Record customer payments

· Prepare bank deposits

· Filing and organizing

· Answering phone calls

· Payroll timecard entry

· Other duties assigned

Looking to hire someone part time for 30 hours per week.

Job Requirements

· Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

· Ability to learn new skills

· Professional attitude and appearances

· Self-starter, problem solver and proactive when issues arise

· Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

· High School degree or GED required
